In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF)

Male Fertility Support

Advanced Treatment with Greater Precision

IVF is recommended when fertility challenges require a more advanced and controlled approach.

Unlike IUI, fertilisation in IVF takes place outside the body in a highly controlled laboratory environment.

The process allows doctors to closely monitor egg development, fertilisation, and embryo growth before transferring the embryo into the uterus.

When is IVF Recommended?

IVF may be advised for:

Blocked fallopian tubes

Severe male factor infertility

Low ovarian reserve / low AMH

Repeated failed IUI cycles

Advanced maternal age

Recurrent pregnancy loss

Unexplained infertility

Need for embryo screening

Fertility preservation / frozen embryo transfer

Your IVF Journey: Step-by-Step

IVF is a step-by-step treatment process carried out with close medical supervision and advanced laboratory support. Each stage is designed to support healthy egg development, fertilisation, and embryo growth before transfer.

Ovarian Stimulation

Fertility injections are prescribed for 8–12 days to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple mature eggs.

Step 01

Follicular Monitoring

Regular ultrasounds and blood tests track egg growth and hormone levels.

Step 02

Trigger Injection

Once follicles reach the right size, a trigger injection is given to prepare the eggs for retrieval.

Step 03

Egg Retrieval

Eggs are collected through a minor, ultrasound-guided procedure under sedation.

Step 04

Fertilisation in the Lab

The retrieved eggs are fertilised with sperm in the embryology lab. In some cases, ICSI may be used, where a single sperm is directly injected into the egg.

Step 05

Embryo Culture

Embryos are monitored for 3–5 days to assess growth and quality.

Step 06

Embryo Transfer

The best quality embryo is carefully transferred into the uterus.

Step 07

Pregnancy Testing

A blood test is typically done 10–14 days later to confirm pregnancy.

Success Rate

IVF generally offers higher success rates than IUI, though results vary by age and diagnosis.

Typical success ranges:

Under 35: 35 to 45% per cycle

Under 35 - 37: 30 to 40%

Low ovarian reserve / low AMH

Repeated failed IUI cycles
